Hey thx for the hint. The Nvidia set on "Maximum Performance" works better even if the Nouveau feels still faster. But how can i keep this option? After every boot the option is set back to "Auto". I saved what i could save via the Nvidia-Settings gui but it does not seem to work. Is there a textfile i can edit? The xorg.conf does not seem to have this kind of option included.

2013-07-22 13:06:29 -0500 asked a question Nvidia Vs. Nouveau

Hey i have to run the nvidia driver from rpmfusion to get my hdmi working properly. But somehow the nvidia driver has a worse performance than the nouveau. With the nouveau i can run every stupid effect kwin offers without any hassle. With the nvidia driver even moving windows feels slow for the first 5 seconds (no tranparency or anything else enabled). Sounds stupid but it feels like the driver is sleeping then after 5 seconds gets his coffee and does the job properly. This thing happens with every effect kwin offers again and again. I am running the akmod-driver on my nvidia 9200M with the PAE-Kernel (installed kernel-PAE-devel like discribed somewhere). OS is Fedora 19 with KDE 4.10.5. I am thankful for any suggestion.

Hi, i got the message when fedora wanted to make everthing automatic. So i made the partitioning manualy. Best thing is to make your partitions via a windowsprogram or gparted. Then choose select the partitons and mountpoints manualy and go. That worked for me.

2013-07-17 10:42:43 -0500 asked a question Old (blue) Logitech MX510 too slow

Hi, i am using an old MX510 from Logitech with Fedora19 and Gnome3. Via the gnome-settings i pushed the mouse speed as far as possible but it still feels slow. Google just shows me some mouse-button tweaks which are nice but not helpful here. Is there a way to increase the speed further?
