2013-02-25 22:20:12 -0500 answered a question NPM command as root user not found

So I found a fix:

Start by installing NodeJS and then:

 sudo ln -s /usr/local/bin/node /usr/bin/node
 sudo ln -s /usr/local/lib/node /usr/lib/node
 sudo ln -s /usr/local/bin/npm /usr/bin/npm
 sudo ln -s /usr/local/bin/node-waf /usr/bin/node-waf

I'm trying to install Yeoman et al from http://yeoman.io and right now have NodeJS / npm installed. The problem is when I want to install something with sudo npm install -g package I get bash: npm: command not found....

Now, when I run it without sudo it does work but complains because it doesn't have access / can't install without sudo.

2011-11-25 11:05:36 -0500 commented answer Very poor performance with ATI Radeon GPU

Ok so I installed Catalyst through RPMFusion and it kinda solved the problem :) I'm back to around 150 fps on Minecraft yay ! But I do notice a little lag when moving windows around. That could be solved with CCSM but it doesn't work :|

I did try installing the Catalyst drivers about two weeks ago, but then the performance of the system globally was absolutely unbearable. I made a video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kqUh9mP1OfY

2011-11-24 15:15:46 -0500 asked a question Very poor performance with ATI Radeon GPU

So I have been using Fedora 16 for quite a while now and I am starting to discover some of it's flaws... The most noticeable and annoying of them all is the very poor performance I am getting while trying to play games. My GPU is an ATI Radeon HD5850 with 1GB of VRAM -plenty to play games-. On Windows I could play games on Ultra settings like Battlefield 3 or Crysis 2 but now I have a hard time getting 15 FPS on Minecraft. I am using the open-source drivers (Gallium3D). Is this normal ?

2011-11-19 05:02:43 -0500 commented answer Yet another "No sound in Fedora 16"

I did. I have checked in alsamixer, pavucontrol, gnome-settings. None worked. All the settings are correct and SHOULD work. I think it has something to do with the radeon driver from x.org

2011-11-17 16:36:54 -0500 asked a question Yet another "No sound in Fedora 16"

As you can read in the title, I have (and many others) a problem with sound in Fedora 16. I am using a dual monitor setup, of which one of my display is actually a TV and is connected via HDMI. My other display is a regular monitor wit no sound output option and is connected via DVI.

As you can imagine, I want sound to come out of my TV.

My graphics card is an ATI Radeon HD5850.

One of the "possible" solution was to install the propriatery drivers from ATI (Catalyst) but that resulted in poor performance in the system. Sound was working though.

So I have been sniffing around and googling but I haven't found a solution yet.
