2012-12-31 21:53:12 -0500 asked a question Windows 8 not showing up in GRUB menu

Ok so my computer is pretty new and has a UEFI setup. I have secure boot off, fast boot off, and am booting in Legacy mode. I got Fedora 17 to install and now it is set up and working correctly, however I can no longer acces my windows 8. If I go to files in Fedora i can still see all my data from windows on my hard drive, and I would just like to have the ability to access both Fedora and Windows 8, help would be greatly appreciated! The results from fdisk -l are as follows:

2012-12-31 04:39:56 -0500 asked a question Fedora 17 not connecting to internet and not showing windows 8 in GRUB menu.

Hello all, after finally getting a Linux distro installed on my UEFI machine, I am having some issues. First off, in the beggining GRUB menu, my windows 8 does not show up, only my Fedora Linux install. I would like to have the option to boot into whichever OS i'd like. Also, when I am in Fedora, neither my wired nor my wireless internet works. When i use lspci in the terminal my network device is "Intel Corporation Device 0887 (rev c4)", i found the drivers needed on the internet and downloaded them from my laptop which has an internet connection. I put the files on a USB drive then plugged it into my fedora pc and when i tried to add the files to my /lib/firmware but i get an error saying that i dont have permission to extract the files. I read somewhere that i May need to transfer them while I'm in a boot terminal, but i can only access a root terminal if i boot fedora in recovery mode. If anyone could please respond that would be great as i really need to get a linux install up and running on my computer. Thanks!
