Solved!

After disable fast star, hibernate (in control panel), It failed to "kill" the hiberfil.sys file, which I did by running the CMD command: powercfg / hibernate off. After a full shutdown the partition got RW ...

Fast start - disablead / Hibernate: disabled / Windows OS completely off :-- even though it only continues as read-only

I found the solution

System Settings

 All configurations

Account details

Users Manager

I entered the password, because I believe it was blank and since my user is an administrator, he did not ask for a password

Now it's fixed!

2018-01-24 03:37:46 -0500 answered a question Can I dual boot Fedora 27 and Windows 10 in this laptop?

Samsung X51 - full compatible

Use UEFI OS only to have no Windows boot problems

Hardware problems are possible even with Windows, however on the Samsung X51 (NP500) I had no problem

I did this... but it did not work

# %wheel ALL=(ALL) NOPASSWD: ALL

I left one, two # and it did not work ...

I erased both lines and it did not work (then put them back)

Can I add it this way then?

/dev/sda3 /run/media/helvio/BA2E07B72E098E21 fuseblk ,nosuid,nodev,relatime,userid=0,groupid=0,defaultpermissions,allowother,blksize=4096 0 0

Thank you, as soon as possible I will do this and put the result

2018-01-23 18:59:41 -0500 answered a question Problems with extensions (zip - xlsx)

Thanks

For me this is a mistake. Zip is Zip, XLSX is XLSX

Is there nothing to be done?

How save the alterations?

Is correct?

## Allow root to run any commands anywhere
root ALL=(ALL) ALL

## Allows members of the 'sys' group to run networking, software,
## service management apps and more.
# %sys ALL = NETWORKING, SOFTWARE, SERVICES, STORAGE, DELEGATING, PROCESSES, LOCATE, DRIVERS

## Allows people in group wheel to run all commands
%wheel ALL=(ALL) ALL

## Same thing without a password
# %wheel ALL=(ALL) NOPASSWD: ALL

2018-01-20 07:33:33 -0500 commented question Windows partition read-only [solved]

in / etc / mtab I found   just the line below regarding the windows partition

/dev/sda3 /run/media/helvio/BA2E07B72E098E21 fuseblk ro,nosuid,nodev,relatime,userid=0,groupid=0,defaultpermissions,allowother,blksize=4096 0 0

I stress that the partition mounts and reads normally, it just does not have write permission

With Windows it is Ok because hibernation is disabled and also the partition mounts, but without permission to write

thanks for the answer, but the line is already commented, as below:

## Same thing without a password
# %wheel ALL=(ALL) NOPASSWD: ALL

More ideas or suggestions?

2018-01-19 15:46:32 -0500 asked a question Problems with extensions (zip - xlsx)

In my Fedora 27 KDE there is confusion of extensions, sometimes xlsx files appear as zip (and ends up opening ark instead of libreoffice) how to fix this problem?

The windows partition mounts, but I only have read access only. How to solve this? Fedora 27 KDE

All operations using sudo are not asking for a password, how to solve this? I do not want an automatic password. I use Fedora 27 KDE

2018-01-19 09:36:30 -0500 answered a question Brother scanner driver don't work

Hi,

First I installed these three programs (available on the Brother website)

brother-udev-rule-type1-1.0.2-0.noarch.rpm

brscan-skey-0.2.4-1.x86_64.rpm

brscan4-0.4.4-4.x86_64.rpm

And this too:

sudo dnf install simple-scan

Then I execute the following command

brsaneconfig4 -a name=BROTHER model=8912DW ip=192.168.1.25

(in this case is the IP where the scanner was configured)

Worked perfectly in Fedora 27 KDE
