2017-09-14 03:48:03 -0500 answered a question Two finger scroll stops working suddenly

Try to remove touch pad's module and add it again:

  • Go to another console (e.g. Crtl+Alt+F5)

  • run this commands:

(as root)

modprobe -r psmouse
modprobe psmouse
  • and go back to the X session, press (Ctrl-Alt-F2)

Based on the kernel you use, above commands may not work, because psmouse is a builtin module in current kernel. If you face with

modprobe: FATAL: Module psmouse is builtin.

  • switching to a console and back again
  • sleep you laptop and resuming again

Always use the latest version (if it's possible for you), New kernels supports wide range of hardware.

2017-09-09 11:59:33 -0500 commented answer dnf search for file in repositories

No, let me clarify with an example, go to an empty directory, with Bash and Zsh, and type dnf provides */ls. there is nothing to expand, so command executed correctly in Bash, but in ZSH you need to quote the glob. This situation also exist for other commands.

2017-09-09 11:25:45 -0500 commented answer dnf search for file in repositories

Sure, those are similar, I expanded them to give example.meanwhile simple globs like */foobar works correctly in bash,(doesn't work in zsh). But I'm agree with you, generally using quotes is better.

2017-09-03 11:41:58 -0500 commented answer Fedora 26 won't boot and screen blinking after installing Nvidia drivers

@bumblebee, not agree, I have no problem with Nouveau in my old PC. (I recommend using Free Software). and about Bumblebee , it's just a recommendation not solution :) also it's helpful for switch between two graphics adapters, (I didn't know Geforce 6150SE is only for Desktops)

2017-09-03 10:43:18 -0500 answered a question Fedora 26 won't boot and screen blinking after installing Nvidia drivers

Make sure you disabled Nouveau correctly

I recommend to use free drivers to avoid inconsistency problems.

Also take a look at wiki

See this:

I recommend use only one DE at once (to avoid conflicts), specially when they have same base(e.g. gnome setting shares between gnome based DEs)
