2017-04-24 05:16:39 -0500 commented answer Why can't I encrypt my disk and have multiple keyboard inputs at the same time

This also means that during fedora boot you are asked to insert the password in order to mount the encrypted disk, you can not select which keyboard layout to use.

2017-04-24 00:39:39 -0500 answered a question remote desktop in Fedora

You have to install Vino

sudo dnf install vino

Then go to Settings and click on Sharing. Here you should see Desktop Sharing: enable it and configure it (password, trusted network, etc.)

Please note: Remote desktop functionality is not yet supported under Wayland , so you have to start the user session using Xorg (look at the wheel in the login screen).

2017-04-08 15:04:26 -0500 commented answer Where are the application launchers from the Gnome menu stored?

I think that, as far as I can see, that the system is smart enough to display only installed applications in the Gnome menu. In addition you can take a look also in ~/.local/share/applications, where user specific application menu entries are defined.

Have a look to this blog. I have not tested, but it seems there is a replacement for the gnome firefox extension that doesn't use NPAPI.

Maybe it is due the fact that Firefox dropped support to NPAPI? link

2017-03-08 03:17:42 -0500 answered a question F25 SSHD not starting on boot after recent updates?

So, I have performed some test. If ListenAddress in the sshd configuration file is set 0.0.0.0 or it is commented (as per default), you should have no problems.

If you have specified an IP on wich sshd has to listen to, then the problem is that sshd starts before the IP is configured. So, to solve this, you have to add network-online.target to the systemd unit related to sshd.

sudo vi /etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/sshd.service

Add network-online.target to Wants and After

[Unit]
...
After=network.target sshd-keygen.target network-online.target
Wants=sshd-keygen.target network-online.target
...

Reload systemd

sudo systemctl daemon-reload

Now, after the reboot, the sshd daemon should ben online.

systemctl status sshd
● sshd.service - OpenSSH server daemon
   Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/sshd.service; enabled; vendor preset: disa
   Active: active (running) since Wed 2017-03-08 10:08:31 CET; 22s ago

Sorry but I don't see where I can put a local directory, or the path to the ISO, in the netinstall interface. Other than HTTP/S, FTP and NFS, I have not other options.

Then, maybe, the NTFS module is not loaded during the installation process, so the external volume cannot be mounted?

2017-03-07 12:11:28 -0500 commented question What ISO can be used as a Netinstall repository

With netinstall it is supposed to use a network repository: i.e. via HTTP or FTP. How did you set up such NTFS repository? You mean there is an ISO in an NTFS volume?

Please note: free space means unpartitioned space in the disk or in other words a space in the disk that is not formatted. That is different from the free space reported by Windows related to free space inside disk (partition, or file system) E:

So, as said in the first answer, you have to shrink e: partition in order to make room for the Fedora partitions.
