Restart the computer. At the Dell logo during restart, tap the F2 key repeatedly until you see Entering Setup in the top right corner of the screen. Depending on the BIOS, you may need to press a key listed at the bottom of the screen to load default settings. For example, F9 on the Inspiron N5110. Press ESC to exit the BIOS, and be sure to select Save and Exit to save your changes. Check Dell Latitude E6410 Manual for more help if needed.

  • Make sure that your headsets are not muted.
  • Make sure the volume level of your system should be not set at low.
  • The sound/audio drivers that you are using are properly updated
  • And also don't forget to change the sound settings from speaker to headphones.
  • Last and best option is to use hacks given in Lenovo G580 Laptop Manual to troubleshoot this issue.
2017-01-31 09:01:25 -0500 answered a question [Solved] [Power] Optimization
  • You can use the powertop utility to see what’s drawing power when your system’s not plugged in.
  • This utility only runs on the Terminal, so you’ll need to open a Terminal to get it. Then run this command: sudo dnf install powertop
  • powertop needs access to hardware to measure power usage.
  • So you have to run it with special privileges too: sudo powertop

Dell Latitude E7450 Manual gives you more details about this task.
