The system boots just fine. I repeat. I reinstalled a system and in the process I deleted and re-created the efi partition. Now the system boots fine but the F11 boot menu is messed up. I guess this is a firmware problem but I thought it can be fixed by Linux. Can it?

Hi all,

I recently bought a new computer and I tried (installed) several Linux OS's on it. In this process I created a efi boot partition. At some point I deleted this partition. Now when I insert a usb pendrive and use the F11 boot menu, I see no menu and if I try to move the mouse over where it should be it appears square by square.

Take a look at these pictures. http://imgur.com/a/pKSI0

How can I fix this?

There must be an easy way of creating launchers that show up in "Activities". There should be a tool for easilly creating and deleting launchers. How can I create groups in "Activities?

YOU are a genius. I reinstalled fedora and first installed kernel-devel and to my surprise it worked.

Hi I tried to install the nvidia proprietary drivers from Fusion repository and after first boot the Xserver doesn't load. I tried to manually start X and the error message was "Can't find nvidia modules". After removing akmod* the sistem start just fine.

2012-04-24 22:56:08 -0500 answered a question Screenlets in Fedora 16

I managed to install the latest version to work just fine.
Dependency: Python and pytz. I got the tar from https://launchpad.net/screenlets/>https://launchpad.net/screenlets/ and installed it with:
sudo make install
and deleted the surce.
This package comes with no screenlets so I got them from here https://launchpad.net/indiv-screenlets>https://launchpad.net/indiv-screenlets and extracted the to .screenlets folder. I found that the program works better after a restart.

2012-04-12 09:43:28 -0500 asked a question Screenlets in Fedora 16

I am thinking of switching to Fedora from Ubuntu but...
I can not seem to get working the latest version of Screenlets. I managed to find a tutorial and installed version 0.1.2, but is still pretty buggy.
Is there a way to get version 0.1.6 working?
Why is Screenlets program not in the Fedora repository? I am open to using alternatives to Screenlets.
