hye all,

i running hostapd in master mode to make it behave like AP on my fedora 11 box. the kernel is 2.6.29.5 and the hostapd version is 0.6.9. the wireless card that i use is tp-link wn951n that used atheros at9k chipset. here is my hostapd.conf

interface=wlan0
driver=nl80211
ssid=amir1
hw_mode=g
channel=3
max_num_sta=10
macaddr_acl=0
deny_mac_file=/etc/hostapd/hostapd.deny

the question is: why my other fedora box cant connect with the AP?even my windows7 laptop also cant connect to the AP even it detected on the wireless manager.

you have to prepare your system for compiling ...

  • Install the following packages: kernel-headers, kernel-devel, and gcc

    sudo yum install kernel-headers kernel-devel gcc

and try to compile again...
