Using xscreensaver-demo helped to get rid of the running xscreensaver -nosplash binary in GNOME. In the menu it showed a Stop Service entry plus it could be deactivated. As such I am again able to unlock without having to enter the password twice.

It is astonishing the binary is available in /usr/bin/xscreensaver despite $ dnf remove *xscreensaver* does not find any results, in other words the xscreensaver package is not even installed.

Reading below makes me understand it comes from an XFCE dependency. Should one file an issue at Fedora for the confusion this situation produces?

Dear Fedora enthusiasts,

after manually upgrading my Fedora 21 system to Fedora 22 via the new systemd offline upgrade method (see wgwoods/dnf-plugin-fedup#1 for details), my WiFi became inaccessible.

iwlist scan shows all WiFi's in the area, but GNOME's NetworkManager Applet doesn't recognize them. It just says not working.

The machine is a Sony VAIO Pro 13 with known WiFi issues, booting from an inserted rEFInd. Yet it worked before.

Where can I look for the disconnect of GNOME and the WiFi device. Does this have to do with a deprecation of wpa_supplicant in F22?

Greetings from Berlin,
