Fedora 24 fails to boot from NVMe SSD

Hi,

I recently had a working combo of Windows 10 on NVMe SSD and Fedora 23 on a regular SATA SSD drive. Yesterday I bought a new larger SATA SSD drive and moved the Windows installation there and after that I made a fresh network install of Fedora 24 on the NVMe SSD. I now have a situation where Grub works fine but after selecting to boot Fedora I can only see a blinking cursor for a few seconds and after that the screen goes black and nothing is happening. I even tried reinstalling Fedora a couple of times with no success. How should I try to debug the problem and has anyone else bumped into a similar problem?

Hardware specs:

  • Motherboard: Asus Z170-P
  • NVMe SSD: Samsung 950 Pro 500GB
  • Processor: Intel i7-6700
  • Graphics: Nvidia Geforce GTX970
