Troubles with Fedora 28

Yesterday I upgraded from Fedora 26 to Fedora 27, and today from Fedora 27 to Fedora 28, I also made sure every package was upgraded to the last version by running the command sudo dnf upgrade --refresh. I'm running Gnome 3.28.2

Everything is going fine, no major issue to report, but I'm experiencing two annoying issues.

The first one has to do with the battery icon in the up right corner of the desktop, when the power cable it's plugged in it the icon is like this: image description (and if I open the panel it says it's estimating...), when I unplug the cable it goes back to normal: image description. And if plug it back in it stays normal for a few minutes and then goes back to this: image description.

The second issue has to do with Firefox, updated to Mozilla Firefox 63.0, almost every time I close it and reopen it within 10-20 seconds it says "Firefox is already running please close it before....", and then it crashes asking me to report the crash (which I do).

Both these issues weren't a thing with Fedora 26 nor before. Unfortunately I update from 27 to 28 without realizing if these issues were introduced with 27, so I don't know if they are caused by Fedora 28 or 27.

Thanks for the help.

EDIT: I'm noticing that the issue with Firefox happens even after 30 minutes or so, but if I run the command 'firefox`, instead of clicking the icon, it launches without any problem immediately.

EDIT: now Gnome 3.30.1 started crashing, logging me out and killing all running programs it happened so frequently and unexpectedly that I had to switch to Plasma (KDE) for the moment.
