Fedora 18 As AD Domain controller

Hi everyone:

I am relatively new to the Fedora experience, having just learned linux (via Fedora 17) a few months ago. I am now faced with an interesting challenge:

I would like to upgrade the new Fedora 18 as a Domain Controller in my existing AD domain. I am really intrigued over the possibility of a seamless integration. However, I have searched far and wide and have not found a reliable HowTo guide on the matter.

Does anyone know the process to upgrade F18? Is there a step-by-step guide out there that I can follow? I have looked at the samba HowTo, but it explains it for servers that do not have Samba4 natively in their OS environment. How can I adapt their instructions to F18?

Any help will be appreciated :)

I would like to upgrade the new Fedora 18 as a Domain Controller in my existing AD domain. I am really intrigued over the possibility of a seamless integration. and would like to be able to configure a linux-windows domain as my final project for school. However, I have searched far and wide and have not found a reliable HowTo guide on the matter. The claim is that one can easily do this "out of the box", but so far I have not found figured out how this is even possible.

Does anyone know the process to promote F18 to a DC? Is DC or to at least join the client to AD? Ar there a step-by-step guide guides out there that I can follow? I have looked at the samba HowTo, but it explains it for servers computers that do not have Samba4 natively installed in their OS environment. How can I adapt their instructions to F18?

Any help will be appreciated :)
