I am using an HP Laptop AY0083TU with windows.I am trying to install Fedora 25 into external Hard drive which has free 100GB of unallocated space. When I choose manual partition option for installation, I get an following error even though defined all the partitions like Root,HOME,SWAP and BOOT.

error: you have not defined a root partition which is required for installation of fedora to continue

Even if I choose automatic partition, still I get the above error.

[Solved] - I just deleted all partition of external hard drive and cleaned it using windows disk partition from command prompt . Then initialized that disk. After that I was able to install Fedora :)
