grub2 color

hello,i change the background image of grub2 by adding a GRUBBACKGROUND variable in /etc/default/grub and i cant success to change color of text. i add the GRUBCOLORNORMAL and GRUBCOLOR_HIGHLIGHT variable to /etc/default/grub an nothing happen. somebody known how to do it?

The file you have to edit is /etc/grub.d/41_custom. Mine is:

#!/bin/sh
cat <<EOF
if [ -f  \$prefix/custom.cfg ]; then
  source \$prefix/custom.cfg;
fi
set color_normal=white/black
set color_highlight=light-cyan/blue
EOF

you can change the menu colors in Grub2. The available colors for color normal and color highlight.

you can always consult the grub2 documentation ...

Here is an example:

Edit /etc/default/grub:

GRUB_COLOR_NORMAL="light-blue/black"
GRUB_COLOR_HIGHLIGHT="light-cyan/blue"

everytime you change /etc/default/grub you have to generate again grub.cfg with this command ...

Generate the changes:

sudo grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg

that is the way ... and it doesn't work for me too but i can't see any parameters in /etc/grub.d/00header to change this behaviour i think this is a bug i fill a bug in bugzilla... -> https://bugzilla.redhat.com/showbug.cgi?id=760686
