does Fedora support linksys ac1200 wifi key?

asked 2016-12-29 14:56:49 -0500

I installed Fedora on my desktop and bought a Linksys ac1200 key inserting to the desktop for it can connect to wifi. But in the DVD along with the key, there are only drivers for MS-Windows. Where can I find the proper driver of this key for Fedora?

Thanks a lot

Fedora Support for wifi you should configure your wifi router with a ssid and proper security, if Linksys has a way to setup that on other OS for you that is another issue. Looking at their website they provide an app to setup the wifi http://www.linksys.com/us/p/P-WRT1200AC/

Let's clarify: You bought this USB-Wifi adapter and want to know if Fedora provides a driver for its chipset?

Please connect the usb wifi dongle to your Fedora or any other GNU Linux machine and show us the relevant output of the lsusb command (or lsusb| grep Wi). That will tell us what chipset the dongle uses and we take it from there.

What you may need could be this
