Originally I installed Fedora 23 on my laptop, then updated to 24 and when it came out to Fedora 25. The laptop is a Dell with an Intel i7 with GPU and a Radeon. I had a problem with the Fan speed at it was suggested that I install i8kutils with the program i8kmon. It automatically adjusts the fan speed according to the CPU's temperature.

Throughout the years of use more and more packages were installed and removed, I tried different window managers and I had the thought of removing unused packages. With that, unfortunately, I accidentally removed the package i8kutils. When I noticed that the fan was always running at the highest speed, I wanted to install this package again dnf couldn't find it. From the repositories I saw that it lastly appeared in Fedora 23. What happened to this package? Why was it removed and how can I adjust the fan speed now that it's missing?
