This might be a known issue for some of you, but the ath9k module has been unstable since kernel 2.6 I think. I've tried many workarounds, including the most famous one, which is creating the ath9k.conf at /etc/modprobe.d including the "options ath9k nohwcrypt=1" in it. Now I've just updated Fedora 17 with the kernel 3.3.7-1.fc17.x86_64 and things are the same. Eventually the connection gets pretty unstable and I'm sitting 3 meters away from my wifi router. When I go to my bedroom, where it works perfectly on Windows, it simply stops working on Linux. I've tried many distros, but it seems this issue is kernel related. Does anybody have a clue how to fix or even improve it?
