I try to be a good citizen and report bugs. I upgraded to Fedora 16 and tried to do the first "yum update". I got an "ERROR with transaction check vs depsolve:" along with a request to "Please report this error in http://yum.baseurl.org/report". After much messing about, I managed to get a browser running so I tried to report the error. I even registered and read the FAQ but am no wiser. I expected to be asked to upload a file with the error messages.

Should we report these errors to yum.baseurl.org?

Does any one know how?

Postscript:

On reflection, I think the developers wanted to know about just one line straight after the error line rather than the whole lengthy error message -- that was far from clear from the output. They then direct people to a completely meaningless web page. I suspect this poor HCI attracts little feedback!

yum.baseurl.org/report is more or less closed down b/c of the neverending spam it got hit by. Report it to bugzilla.redhat.com instead.

Copy paste the entire output. yum -d9 update will give you the full debugging information.

No. Not here but as a bug report. Also if you have suggestions for improving the bug report message, feel free to file that as well.
