How do I install hwinfo on fc25? None of the online tutorials are recent. The same is true for the RPMs, so in this case, I think it's better to ask first.

dnf search hwinfo does not return anything and dnf copr search hwinfo lists a copr that has a package of hwinfo for Fedora 24. It may work under Fedora25 as well.

What do you want to do with hwinfo? Maybe you don't necessarily need it...

There is a Hardware Lister (lshw) and a corresponding GUI lshw-gui in the official Fedora repository.

If you want to give this a try: sudo dnf install lshw lshw-gui

There are also a few onboard tools that come with a Fedora (and other GNU Linux) installations that may suit your needs: lsusb, lspci, lscpu, lsblk.

Thanks for the reply, I want to list all available display resolutions, not just the one in use. I know hwinfo will do this. Are there any other tools that will do this as well?
