Is it possible to start Numlockx at Grub to make it easier to enter my filesystem encryption password? Also, I have installed Numlockx and inserted the if statement in the GDM Default file but numlock is still not enabled at the login screen. Please help me.

The problem is that X isn't started when plymouth is running (plymouth is where you unlock your encrypted disks, not grub). So NumlockX won't help you in plymouth, where the decrypt password dialog appears. :(
