Host file changes not saved after reboot

When I add hosts (as root using vim) to my /etc/host file the changes only stick until I reboot. After the reboot the changes are gone.

Running FC17 and didn't have this problem on FC16 or earlier.

How do I make changes to this file permanent?

Do you have Cisco AnyConnect installed? If so, it has a service that overwrites /etc/hosts with /etc/hosts.ac. If that is your issue, make your changes to hosts.ac.
