I want to upgrade fedora 17 to fedora 18 with fedup iso and run following command but get error.

[]#sudo fedup-cli --iso /home/omid/Fedora-18-x86_64-Live-Desktop.iso --debuglog=fedupdebug.log
setting up repos...
Error: can't get boot images.
The 'fedupiso' repo was rejected by yum as invalid.
The given ISO probably isn't an install DVD image.
Please help me!

Running FedUp with an ISO image will only work if on a normal Install ISO image. The image you are pointing fedup at is a Live Image.

You will need to use a Install Image such as: http://mirrors.kernel.org/fedora/releases/18/Fedora/x8664/iso/Fedora-18-x8664-DVD.iso

Only can update a system with Fedup for a iso file if you have a Install DVD of Fedora, the Live CD don´t the packages than fedup need to make de upgrade.
