Cancel repository update while yum install

When we want to install something using yum install, repositories are updated first for latest updates. That is good.

But it is a problem when we use low speed internet connection like mobile internet etc. Because, even some repositories download a few MBs while connection may <10 kB/s. So in such cases, is there a way to stop this updating, and directly go to installation part?

There's an option for that:

-C, --cacheonly

Tells yum to run entirely from system cache - does not download or update any headers unless it has to to perform the requested action. If you're using this as a user yum will not use the tem‐ pcache for the user but will only use the system cache in the system cachedir.
