Destination is read only issue

I just formatted my USB stick (had some live image on it) and want to use it for storing my data. I did the format in Disks application (to FAT format) and mount it to my laptop. But each time I try to copy/move some data on the Stick, I get Error: "Error while copying to "USB". The destination is read only" image description

I re-formatted it again, but issue persists. Is that issue on my side or I have got some bug?

Did you try to repartition it? I mean not just reformat the existing partition, delete the existing partition and create a new one.

Issue disappear by itself. I plugged the USB stick in the laptop now and it worked. I didn't do anything since I posted my question. I didn't even reboot the PC. This seems to be a bug or I didn't get the philosophy of the external storage format process.

I'm having the same issue here. Tried many usb sticks with no hope. After a while it worked by itself and now I'm having the same problem again.
