Hey! I'm a total newbie, i got encrypting in my laptop and want to either get rid of it or change it. I got no clue what crypting is it using. Only that it was on at the installation.

I do not speak that good terminal language. Do not really know anything about terminal usage. I MADE A BIG mistake.

I know the current encrypt password and i know how to get terminal as root. Thats about all. All I found on google was these LUKS commands and it didn't find the command in my terminal. Also got access denied on /etc/fstab. Do not even know what that does but google told me to write it.

Not even sure what fedora verison it is. 20 something.

I can take answers in Finnish also :D

Thank you!

You can find out what version of Fedora you have by running uname -r in a terminal, and let us know by editing your question. I don't know if it matters, but it can't hurt to be sure.

There are steps describing how to disable LUKS encryption on internet (example) but considering your technical knowledge, I would do it simply: backup (copy) all your critical / important data to some external disk (or USB stick). Once completed, unplug that external device and make fresh system installation - without disk encryption this time. I guess, this will be the fastest and the most simple way how to resolve your problem.

With the "Disks"-Utility you can decrypt, mount and change the passphrase in a fancy gui way. But you can also format or delete partitions, so be careful!
