F24: PXE without huge initrd.

asked 2016-09-25 10:21:21 -0500

I am working on a project that allows for unattended deployments of various Linux based operating systems.

I have a working PXE setup and am able to deploy CentOS 7 without any issues.

As of 2016, Fedora does not provide an "Everything ISO", which is why one needs to create a initrd which has all the files. However, I am willing to switch to nginx(http-backed pxe), for which the above method won't work.

Is there a way to create your own "Everything ISO" or say a golden image that can be used for network deployments?

Well, chapter 10 from Installation Guide explains how to do that. Specifically, https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/...
