Issues while installing F15 through bootable pen drive (made with live-usb creator)

I was trying to use F15 bootable pen drive (having the whole dvd image) to install fedora in my box. The catch is just before asking me for packages to install the installer needed internet connection. That moment I didn't have any internet connection, so I was unable to pass that screen and couldn't install F15. Is this a imposed restriction, or a bug ? Is this same for F16 ?

did you use the DVD image with live-usb-creator? Even if you used the DVD, it should allow you to continue with the installation. Is it possible that you used the netinstall image by mistake?

I selected and used the DVD version of Fedora 15 DVD (32 bit). I didn't by anyhow use the netinstall image. I guess you can easily replicate the problem going till that part.

Today I did face same problem while installing F16 through a USB. My friend didn't have the internet connection at that point of time and so I was unable to set it up. Does anybody have any idea regarding why with Live-USB this issue is getting repeated both in F15 and F16.

Sorry for posting this as answer, it likely to be the part of the followup to my original question.

May be you selected some more repository. By default only fedora repository is selected so if you select some other repository then you need internet connection to download some packages which are not belong to fedora repo.

There is something dicey here. I installed F16 on 2 systems, without requiring an internet connection. You are making a selection that needs the internet. It does not need the internet. What screen was this on? Can I have a screenshot (or any photo) please?
