Robomongo should work out of the box without the need for installing it.

-Just download latest release from their webpage

-Navigate to the download folder:

cd ~/Downloads

-Extract it from archive:

tar xzf robomongo-0.9.0-rc10-linux-x86_64-33c89ea.tar.gz

(or whatever the filename is).

-Navigate to folder with same name/bin:

cd robomongo-0.9.0-rc10-linux-x86_64-33c89ea/bin

and start it from there:

./robomongo

You could of course tweak this a bit further to create custom launcher (robomongo.desktop in /usr/share/applications ) and to move it to some other folder so it would be available system wide ( eg. /usr/local/ or /opt/robomongo) but that's the topic on its own ;-)
