In GNOME 3, how can I make Exaile or another player (other than Rhythmbox) the default music player, as set through System Settings, System Info? I don't have Rhythmbox installed but I have Exaile. The Music list in System Info's Default Applications shows only Totem (Movie Player). I want to be able to select Exaile there. Is there a way to do this?

As a workaround, right-click on any music file you wish to associate with Exaile and choose Properties. Select the Open With tab and then choose Exaile and click Set As Default. You may have to do this multiple times for each kind of audio file, such as mp3, m4a, ogg and so on.

That being said, please file a bug so upstream can add Exaile to the list.

It's not clear what you want. The application you set in the default applications list is what nautilus will use by default to open the file. Could you please explain a little more about how you want it to work?

Go to Setting > Details. There you'll see Default Application tab on the right. Voila! You're done.
