I have updated a MacBook Pro with Fedora 23 to Fedora 24. All went fine and system works like a charm, but at every login a terminal window with a flashing cursor only appears in the middle of the desktop. I close the window, but at every restart it appears again.
How can I solve this issue?

Is that issue also persistent on clean install of Fedora (without any additional apps or tweaks to system, including config files in .config folder? Have you checked if for some reason you have some .desktop file in .config/autostart/ which would run it at login?
Can you try testing this issue by creating new user on system and try to log in as that user, does issue occurs then?

You solved my issue, thank you so much. It was a link to RedShift .desktop file in .config/autostart that open the terminal window to launch RedShift.
