I am a new Fedora user. I installed Eclipse neon using Software center. However I can't see "Java" option under "Window / Preferences" on Eclipse. I can't use Java.

I haven't installed Oracle JDK as it seems openjdk is installed on my system by default. So I decided to use openjdk if I can but I could not manage Eclipse to recognize it.

$ sudo yum install java-1.8.0-openjdk-devel
Package java-1.8.0-openjdk-devel-1: is already installed, skipping.

$ java -version
openjdk version "1.8.0_91"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_91-b14)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.91-b14, mixed mode)

How can I use openjdk with Eclipse?

I realized that "Eclipse Java Development Tools" is required to be installed separately.

The following command solved this issue:

$ sudo dnf install eclipse-jdt
