Hi everybody. I am in a retro-period and i am trying to install Rayman, yes the very first 2 dimensional one. I can install it using wine. It runs a nice dosbox with dosbox, and finishes the installation. Though the sound test in the end results in a shutdown of the application. Then starting the game results in opening wine and a dosbox with dosbox, it seems to start, but then the windows disappear again.

Has anyone managed to install this game using wine, dosbox or any other emulator ? I am dying to play it and teach it to my boy !

Hi try mi favorite DBGL (DOSBox Game Launcher) DBGL is a Java frontend for DOSBox, based largely upon the proven interface of D-Fend. image description

DBGL serves as a frontend / Graphical User Interface to DOSBox (configuration). It tries to make creating DOSBox configuration files a little easier by offering a (relatively) simple interface, some shortcuts and a little bit of intelligence (DOSBox behavior). Once your DOS games are configured in DBGL, its very easy to setup or start them, or alter their configuration or associated DOSBox version.

I am very happy playing Commander Keen 1-7 :)

You need install all dependencies:

From a terminal (copy & paste)

su -c 'yum -y install SDL java dosbox'

extract & run
