Hi I want to compile Gimp 2.9.4 from source. I managed to install all mandatory dependencies except for mypaint-devel. The 1.3.0 version is not available in RPM Fusion. I already have the source code of libmypaint. How can I compile the development files and install them system-wide?

If you have the source code look for the read me or install file with detail instruction and requirements to install them, You may need to install make, gcc and some others to do the job.

If you really just want Gimp 2.9.4 and not that you want to compile it, you can get an already compiled version for Fedora at . The libmypaint 1.3.0 packages are there as well.

For that, see the comment from @aeperezt. Every project is different, you need to read their documentation on how to compile and install it. You will need to do the install as root if you want a system-wide installation. For libmypaint, the instructions are in the readme which is shown at .

Sorry. I don't need to install the program. I expect the outcome like if I were to run "dnf install libmypaint-devel" There's no information on that in readme.

From the README:

Build and install

The traditional setup works just fine.

$ ./ # Only needed when building from git.
$ ./configure
$ make install
