How can I stream my laptop screen to my TV?
Hi All,
This is my first post and I am a new user of Fedora.
I am able to use the system very well since now with the help of tutorials all over the internet and even created an DLNA Media Server so I can watch my movies and listen to my music on my Home Theater and TV. I've used miniDLNA.
I read some articles about this subject but was unsuccessful in achieving my goal.
I would like to stream my laptop screen to my TV with sound. DLNA was my first guess of how to make it work.
I've tried using VLC to stream to a file and then tried to reproduce the file "on the go" in the TV using DLNA but I had no success.
The file is not recognized by the TV or Home Theater as a valid format. Do not know why or if I am doing something wrong, I've tried AVI, MKV, MP4 and H264, AC3, MP3 codecs, FLV and almost all formats VLC support streaming.
Does anyone know how to do it or if it is even possible and could help me with this?
Thank You.
Phanton
