Fedora 15 to 16 preupgrade crash after reboot

The preupgrade program runs fine but when I reboot into the new installation files, something really weird comes up on my screen and the installer never seems to load.

What shows up on the screen is mostly random noise, but If I do this after a reboot then I will see a scrambled image of my desktop from before the reboot.

I had this same problem with Ubuntu and Ubuntu derived distros. I've never had this problem under Windows. I suspect that it could be a new graphics driver in F16.

My Specs:

Intel Quad Core 2.44ghz
PNY Geforce 240gt 512mb
4gb ram

Probably nouveau not working well with your GeForce. Please file a bug against anaconda at bugzilla.redhat.com. They'll help you work around it. Please do paste the bug link here.
