Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am looking to run tigervnc-server on my fedora 23 box - I am, however, encountering a few problems. The service appears to start up OK but when connecting to server remotely (through an ssh tunnel), the vnc viewer (tiger or real VNC) simply fail with a "Something went wrong" message.

systemctl -l status vncserver presents the following output:

vncserver.service - Remote desktop service (VNC)
Loaded: loaded (/etc/systemd/system/vncserver.service; enabled; vendor preset: disabled)
Active: failed (Result: resources) since Tue 2016-08-02 19:39:45 BST; 16min ago
Process: 948 ExecStart=/sbin/runuser -l USER-c /usr/bin/vncserver %i -geometry 1400x900 (code=exited, status=0/SUCCESS)
Process: 928 ExecStartPre=/bin/sh -c /usr/bin/vncserver -kill %i > /dev/null 2>&1 || : (code=exited, status=0/SUCCESS)

Aug 02 19:39:45 computer.home systemd[1]: vncserver.service: Failed with result 'resources'.

The vnc log file in my home directory looks fairly clean:

do you have selinux activated ?

have you tried $sudo setenforce 0

and them start vncserver

I did, however, this produced the result below:

[@computer ~]# setenforce 0
[@computer ~]# sestatus | grep -i mode
Current mode:                   permissive
Mode from config file:          enforcing
[@computer ~]# systemctl restart vncserver
Job for vncserver.service failed because a configured resource limit was exceeded. See "systemctl status vncserver.service" and "journalctl -xe" for details.
