How can I remove this Skype sidebar thingy?

When using Skype I get this status thingy on the left sidebar:

I can minimize it a bit to the left, but there is still a little bit that stays in display.

Anyone knows how I can remove this thing? I've searched through skype configs but can't find anything. I'm guessing it's some gnome 3 integration.

BTW, I'm using fedora 24.

I assume you can't do it while Skype is still running, this is where all "legacy" tray icons are kept and there's no other easy way to get to Skype when it's minimized. However, there are some extensions for GNOME Shell that move these icons to the taskbar (if you prefer that, but I haven't tried any of them):

Perfect! First one you posted worked. Thanks :-)
