Fedora 17 live USB x86_64 dracut warning

Have USB with Fedora 17 Live USB x86_64 Desktop downloaded 2012-08-27 Have the same problem with an old HP Proliant and a brand new

Have tried Test & start

The bootcmd is

vwlinux0 initrd=initrd0.img root=live:UUID=404C-0CB0 rootfstype=vfat ro live img quite rhgb rd.lock=0 rd.md=0 rd.dm=0

When booting I get this error:

dracut Warning: Unable to process initqueue
dracut Warning: /dev/disk/by-uuid/404C-0CB0 does not exist
dracut Warning: /dev/mapper/live-rw does not exist

Dropping to debug shell

I have seen simmular problem with CD:s reported. Need maybe to change root= to something?

I had the same problem, i was about to install fedora from usb. I used Pendrive software on windows and i got the same error like you. I managed to make bootable usb with Unetbootin and the error was gone.

Have now tested the Live USB Fedora 17 x86_64 Desktop, downloaded today. This one is working OK. It has a new graphic layout.

Did a new dwonload of Live Fedora 17 x86_64 KDE. This one has still the same problem
