After suspend, screen unusable

Hello, My problem is that after I suspend my laptop, the screen is unusable at unsuspend. I suspend my laptop. I then lift the lid. A this point a screen saver will wiggle its way across my screen. I'm prompted for my username and password. At this point everything looks good. Nice screen save; nice password prompt.

When I get back into the main GUI of XFCE, the screen is littered with junk colors on a white background. It's unusable.

At this point, I CTRL + ALT + Backspace. This corrects X Server, but I lose all of my open applications.

I have an NVidia care with the nuveo drivers. It's an Intel i7 CPU with 16 gigs memory.

Thanks, JPD

Try turning off any hybrid video mode in BIOS. Preferably leave only intel video on. Other than that, you can try newer drivers (e.g. upgrade to fedora 18) and if it still doesn't work you need to file a bug report.
