I had a stable platform using Fedora 14 on a Dell M6400 with E docking station. After installing Fedora 16, I can successfully boot to Linux standalone. If I connect to the docking station Linux boot locks, I think during transition to the graphical interface. Monitor loses sync. Is this a known problem and is there a fix?

I have seen this happen but with F17 I work from a docking station all day so I feel the pain when you disconnect and reconnect and your display locks up.

Usually a <ctrl> + <alt> + <backspace> solves the problem by restarting the display server.

I have noticed that with later updates to F17 this has gotten better and gone away for me. Might want to upgrade when 18 comes out I hear Gnome 3.5 (or whatever) is going to be sweet.
