after installing Fedora 24, I added my Google account in Gnome Online Accounts.

I installed Empathy, however it cannot connect to the GTalk network, it keeps saying that "Authentication Fails" (I'm translating from italian, the corresponding english translation might be different).

Has Google disabled access to third party apps? Could it be some Fedora bug? I even tried to "allow unsafe" applications from my Google Account, with no luck.

Thanks in advance

It seems to be a bug. I experience the same issue after upgrading my laptop to Fedora 24. At the same time empathy woks fine on desktop running Fedora 23.
