Fedora 23 , Torrent/Download speed limited [closed]

asked 2016-06-26 15:30:44 -0500

Recently Installed F23 (as in today) so almost completely new.

The first thing I noticed out of the ordinary is that my torrenting speed is awful. On windows I had 7-8 MB/s , now it doesn't go above 1. I have checked the programs settings and is set to unlimited for download and peers , so the problem has to be somewhere else. Wi-Fi settings says Link Speed: 150 Mb/s.

So where do I begin looking for the solution of this problem ?

Welcome to ask.fedora. If your settings are correct, the trouble isn't at your end. Talk to your ISP. Alas, this isn't a Fedora (or even a Linux) issue, so I'm closing this. Please feel free to ask again when you have a question that's on-topic for this forum.

"If your settings are correct" , ok , how about if they aren't ?

You state that you're not limiting upload or download speeds and your WiFi link speed is fine. Your settings are correct. Talk to your ISP.

Ports for P2P connection are open? Router set to forward those ports to you machine's IP?

If the ports weren't forwarded, there wouldn't be any traffic. And, it's still off-topic.
