Hi, I have Sony VAIO 13 Fit multiflip laptop and Fedora 23 has been the only Linux system (so far) with working screen rotation. I've just tested Fedora 24 and screen rotation and keyboard backlight doesn't work :-( The strange thing is that when I close the lid and laptop goes to sleep, after wake up both problem disappear.

I can replicate this issue on a different laptop. Screen rotation only works after suspend.

Following advice from another user, I ran the debug commands for iio-sensors-proxy.
According to the output, this issue affects both screen-rotation (accelerometer) and ambient-light sensors.
Before suspend:
$ gdbus introspect --system --dest net.hadess.SensorProxy --object-path /net/hadess/SensorProxy node /net/hadess/SensorProxy { node /net/hadess/SensorProxy { interface net.hadess.SensorProxy { properties: readonly b HasAccelerometer = true; readonly s AccelerometerOrientation = 'undefined'; readonly b HasAmbientLight = true; readonly s LightLevelUnit = 'lux'; readonly d LightLevel = 0.0; };
After suspend:
$ gdbus introspect --system --dest net.hadess.SensorProxy --object-path /net/hadess/SensorProxynode /net/hadess/SensorProxy { interface net.hadess.SensorProxy { properties: readonly b HasAccelerometer = true; readonly s AccelerometerOrientation = 'normal'; readonly b HasAmbientLight = true; readonly s LightLevelUnit = 'lux'; readonly d LightLevel = 4.0; };
Looks like the sensors are detected before suspend, but their values are not defined. After suspend, these values are magically assigned.
Does anyone have thoughts on what might be going on here? Looks like a Gnome issue no?

Edit: Why won't line breaks work inside code text? sorry for ugly reading
