Multimedia keys stopped working

I'm using Fedora 23 with i3. I have a Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 2000, MM keys were working perfectly (and I had them mapped on .i3/config ), but suddenly after a crash and reboot they no longer work.

I've tried xev to see if for some reason the keycodes changed, but they are not detected by xev. Then I tried with showkey -k which actually detects them and gives a different keycode, so I changed it on .i3/config, but they don't seem to work either.

I'm running out of ideas and I was really used to these keys. Any idea?

That was exactly the problem! uninstalled and it's working now. Do you know what exactly causes it and if there is a workaround?
