I am new to Linux and I need to get drivers for my Lenovo X301 laptop.

My touch pad and finger print scanner is not working after the Fedora installation. I would be very thankful if some one can help me with this.

Do you know what kind it is? If you are using a Gnome desktop (the default unless you chose some other spin of Fedora) you might be able to configure it with the mouse applet in the control centre. Does it not work at all?

As for the finger print reader, did you have a chance to try the applet in the Gnome Settings. Apparently that works to configure the reader for most users.

I have an old X301 myself and touchpad works out of the box. Never tested fingerprint reader though.

It is unusual for a touchpad to not work. Check in /proc/bus/input/devices to see if you can find it there. Also check journalctl -b for lines containing 8042.

Fingerprint readers often aren't supported. The one on the laptop I'm using now isn't. lsusb will most likely show you the fingerprint reader device name.

btw. by default touchpad is working but tap to click is not enabled. you need to go to Settings -> Mouse & Touchpad and on the bottom there should be "Tap to Click"
