you can upgrade it by using fedup

1- install the latest version by >yum --enablerepo=updates-testing install fedup

2- now you can update by using two method

2.1 - by using network

   > sudo fedup-cli --network 18 --debuglog fedupdebug.log

2.2 - by iso file

download iso file and insert into your pc

    run command on terminal
    >sudo fedup-cli --iso /home/user/fedora-18.iso --debuglog=fedupdebug.log

for more detail - http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/FedUp

see my video hope you will find it helpful http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2rXGtOshFDA&feature=youtu.be
(show how to install fedup and some further step)

Upgrades are changing a lot with Fedora 18. The old upgrade methods of using the DVD or preupgrade are no longer supported and will not work. The currently recommended upgrade method is FedUp, which is new for Fedora 18. For beta, only the CLI client is completed but we expect to have a GUI client in time for the release of Fedora 18 final.

Current documentation on how to use FedUp and some FAQs is available on the wiki.

If you hit issues with either upgrades or the documentation, please let someone know (probably me) either here, via email (my username at fedoraproject.org) or via IRC in #fedora-qa on Freenode (please direct IRC messages to me, though or I might miss them) .

This is mostly a copy-paste from another question - the answer is mostly the same and I want to cover at least some of the common F17 -> F18 upgrade questions.

I'm not sure with easily (it depends on qa team right now :) ), but yes there are possibilities. You can upgrade with F18 Install DVD (the easiest way), with PreUpgrade (i prefer) or with yum (this is not easy in any way)

There is a new tool that replaces preupgrade and is called fedup. Here more info: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA:Fedora18Upgrade_Testing

Update is possible. Even manual method with command line works. Fedora project has an article on how to do it. I have also shared my experience on my blog.
