Fedora 17 running java return no such file or directory

I have installed jdk 1.6 in fedora 17 and set the path and java home relatively ..

When i compile the code using javac it get compiled when i run it it returns

bash: /usr/bin/java: No such file or directory What problem is this and how should i overcome this

Try with the command:

sudo /usr/sbin/alternatives --install /usr/bin/java java /usr/java/default/bin/java 20000

Or verify the installation directory with the command: sudo alternatives --config java

This last, show a list of the alternatives for Java. You can select another one.
