I am trying to install Fedora 16 with a separate home partition.

I chose to use all disk space, with the option to review partitioning. Now I cannot really make sense of the screen I am seeing. Could you please help me understand it (see below) and guide me to install a separate /home partition?

I think you are right: sda3 is vgfedora (lvroot, lvhome and lvswap). Maybe you can consider using a physical partition (not lvm) in order to make a separate home.

As pointed out before me sda3 became your LVM partition (think of LVM as a partition within a partition with the root, home and swap being sub partitions as well.) When choosing options you could uncheck the box at the bottom that allows use of LVM. After that you can keep the same options you selected before and then accept the way the installer manages disk space or resize thepartitions as you see fit.
