could not be reserved

I'm new to Linux. I'm attempting to install VortexBox 2.4 (which is using Fedora 23) from a bootable USB onto a Lenovo T500. The T500 was purchased in 2009 and it has the latest BIOS Update v3.23 [Released 2012-02-10]. The T500 was also one of the first Lenovo laptops to use a 128Gig SSD drive. It has 8Gigs RAM. It is basically an off-the-shelf laptop.

From the boot menu, I'm selecting, 'VortexBox 2.4 install [4GB] (wipe drive)'. Some text flies by and stops after many '[ 0.050038] system 00:02 [mem 0xfff . . . could not be reserved' errors.

In the BIOS, I have changed from 'switched' to 'integrated' video and disabled OS detection. (This was suggested by other forum users with similar Lenovo hardware).

What else should I try?

Try installing Fedora. If that works, talk to the VortexBox community.

Try a Fedora Live system.

The Fedora 23 Live Image successfully installed to the disk! So, it is back to the VortexBox team for some ideas.

Thanks for the suggestion!
